Free games?
Game publishers are fighting software piracy in every way they can, one of the most recent ways: give the games away for free! While at first sounding strange there are some ways to make this work and it’s allready a standard in some gaming areas. DICE of Electronic Arts (EA) is about to release a game from their Battlefield-series as a free game, Battlefield Heroes. It will be interesting to see if this is a new trend and other gaming companies will release free “sub versions” of their main titles in the future.

Leave a Comment News about the merger are spreading on the Internet and it seems this major deal will go through creatinging a second major game developer (Electronic Arts (EA) being the other one). Both Activision and Blizzard are very successfull game studios but with the merger they can stand up to compete against EA as well.
Keep an eye on http://www.activisionblizzard.com/, hopefully we will find some interesting information there after the merge is made offical and/or when E3 opens.
